What's up guys, here i bring u another poll (yaaay), but this time its not about all those dream sports cars and all... This time we're playing it real! Thats right, the time which every petrolhead counts seconds to come is right around the corner for me Time to choose my first car! :greenappl
So yeah, in a few months, hopefully i'll be getting my hands on my first car, it all depends on being accepted on a federal college. I've been doin a lot of research and know what i want, tho as always, there is no car offering what i want precisely... All of them will be missing something, and those which offer what i need are very overpriced...
So, of course there is a price limit... And mine is around R$55.000,00... So you might notice that most cars here are a bit over that price tag... And thats because those cars offer exactly what i want and are fully loaded as shown in their respective pictures.
So lets go to the candidates shall we?

And thats all... I'll post a side by side comparison so you guys can compare performance (which none of these really have, but still...) and dimensions! Now they r all in portuguese but i believe you guys can understand what each nunber mean on performance guise, i will translate everything so it makes for a ease of understanding anyway...
So this is it folks, lets see in which of these i'll be seen in on a few months, and of course if i get to be accepted on that college! ;D

OBS. I wont consider used cars because i live where i live and people here cant drive properly, so its very risky to buy something which i dont have knowllege of its story...

The Hyundai is the most modern car I think. Looks best too. After that I'd take a Fox.
My cousin got the hyundai, it really is superb as a first car, the fox was my main option before i started doin some researches and finding out cheaper models that can be a good option as well! Tho build quality wise the hyundai and the fox are unmatched! Both have superior quality over the others

Do they not sell the VW Up! and VW Polo over there? Or are these too expensive? I'd take a Polo over all of them to be honest, though I still like the Hyundai somehow. They are making huge leaps right now design wise imo.

They do sell the up! I considered it for a long time because its such a nice car, tho its engine is not enough... I plan to travel a lot with the car so probably the 1.0 wont be enough... The chevys on the list are 1.4, and im a bit worried about them, so y r they here? Simply because my little brother loved the Prisma when he saw it, and the onix is the hatch version which i prefer... The fox is the equivalent to the polo here, they do sell a polo, tho it is ooooooold as hell... I dont know if they will bring the polo to brazil, tho i heard the up! GT might come, tho i believe the price will be over the roof :/

This is the polo they sell here... It even has that crappy blue displays... But not like the hyundai's, really cheap looking displays!

João , meu amigo cara de cú, if I were you, I'd be looking at the Hyundai or the Chevys. The Gol is ancient, the Palio cheap feeling (I've the closely related Novo Uno) and the Fox will rattle everywhere in little time, believe me ;)
Although the Chevy look cheap, they're well put together. My sister's husband have one as his company car, does about 110km each day between Buenos Aires and La Plata, and yet the car has no single rattle, even when driving over coblestones in historical downtown.

BTW, what Ford has to offer? No Fiesta no pais da Festa? And have you seen over the Peugeot 208? I've read the Mercosur one isn't as nice inside as the french one, which I tried and felt very nice for a cheap supermini.

Finally, those prices....we, you and me are screwed living in South America :(

Gian, meu amigo cara de cloaca, yes they do offer both the 208 and fiesta, tho both are expensive as far as i can remember... I'll configure both and take prints so u can see... I think they are around R$65.000,00... And indeed, we are screwed... We need to get outta here... FAST!

So, i actually was mistaken... The fiesta is indeed 63k, tho with powershift! Without it is "affordable"! There is also the Ka! And the 208 is also affordable with a manual, tho im always affraid of french cars... They have the fame of being lemons here... All of them, even renault (dacia)... I will edit the options, insert all of the 3...

I can't offer any input on the cars since I know nothing about them, but I will say congratulations on your first car.:t-cheers:
Well, you dont really need to know much, just consider which manufacturer u like better and based on pic and the specs i shared here say which u would take ;D
And well, while there is still some time before i buy it, and there is is college factor on my way before i can get the car, thanks!!

In that case then, I pick the Ford Fiesta.

why not do as i plan, buy a used porsche 944 and gain experience through porsche driving course, a good 944 will set you back £5K here in norway but it may vary from country to country

PS be prepared for a high insurance and DIY fixing to keep cost down

Any used porsche here will set you back at least 50k dollars... Soooo... Unfortunately thats a huge nooooooope... Tho i considered the idea sometime ago! ;)

I've had a brand new Fiesta in Ireland for 2000 km and i didn't love it but also didn't hate it (maybe because i was confused by the right hand drive). I think for me it would be between 208, Hyundai and Fox. Drive them all and then make your choice! Congratulations! :):)
