Test Drive: 2007 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG

There is a war going on in Germany right now, and things are getting ugly. It involves hundreds of charging horses, several pointy metallic projectiles, and a few select armies of speed-obsessed automotive engineers. The bully in this conflict is Mercedes-Benz.
Or more specifically, AMG: the high-performance arm of this Stuttgart-based automaker. Oh sure, BMW’s M division and the RS skunkworks of Audi have sent some worthy warriors to battle, but if it’s purely horsepower numbers you’re after, AMG’s latest volley has just opened up a huge can of whoopass on those duking it out in this arena.

the car looks high cause the suspension is set on high mode..

lOl, the ABC suspension allows the driver to raise or lower the vehicle at the push of a botton. The vehicle height should come as no surprise to automotive faners.

the S65 is a beast and its got BMW by the balls in terms of horse power. However it is in a league of its own...I think they want $170,000 USD for this beast so comparing it with an M5 is inane.

this car wasnt built to compete with a 5-series. Two different cars built with different purpose in mind.

Im not a S65 fan so I havent studied the car more closely. But they should use better pics, its just looks ridicilous on that pic.

I think the M and even RS philosophies are seemingly against the idea of making a M/RS version of the big saloon..

Lol i know that they wont be made because the M5 engine is sapose to be the most superior engine available and audi has the S8 which is more than enough for them but I still kinda wish, plus these are just people also so they will change their mind anytime they want to.

I like to believe that Audi has plans of producing a
RS8 also, maybe with the new RS6 engine if not even
more powerful!

I dont see what the point is to spend double on a Brabus S class or E or CLS when you have this with insane power numbers. This makes Brabus sedans pointless. Well all the 65s and make Brabus quite pointless.
