Swedish people are the best non-native English speakers in the world, according to the largest global ranking of countries by English language skills

Swedes topped the table produced by global language training company Education First (EF), which looked at the language abilities of more than 910,000 adult learners in 70 countries around the world.

The Scandinavian nation was given an overall score of 70.94 out of a possible 100 in EF's English Proficiency Index, following a result of 67.8 last year.

^ Female Swedish friends, I still dream about them :love::love:

As for the survey.......closely followed by The Netherlands. I think I agree.

In the top four countries, the main language is closely related to English. Therefore, the true winner is the one in fifth place. :D

Swedish and Dutch "closely related" to English?! Why can't I understand either then?!! :D

And don't say "because you can't understand English either"!!

Voi vittu! I have the uttermost respect for finns that can even make themselves understood outside of Österbotten.

I am amazed by the non existent accent of many Scandinavian actors like the Danish guy of game of thrones and the Swedish girl from mission impossible. The only one that i remember that still has some is the great Mads Mikkelsen.

Well, all you need to do is learn a few words (and you can mostly blame the French for that, Old English had a whole lot more words of Germanic origin than modern English) and maybe some grammar.

If you wanted to learn Finnish, you'd need to learn a new way of thinking:

Dutch you must mean?

Or is there a Danish actor in the series too?
