I see no point in trying to post them again, the teaser pic shows exactly what the front air dam looks like and the pics of the rear of the car only show 335i exhausts. However, there is a video about the history of Alpina and one about their manufacturing process, both of which are quite good:)

Ahead of its world premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, ALPINA is releasing new information on their B3 model based on the F30 3 Series sedan. The third-generation B3 will debut next month and it is powered by an upgraded 3.0 liter turbocharged engine that delivers 301 kW (410 hp) from 5,500 RPM until redline 7,000 RPM.
The Bi-Turbo engine is mated to a new ZF eight-speed automatic.
It takes the ALPINA B3 only 4 seconds to run from standstill to 62 mph. The B3 not only brings more power and torque than its predecessor, but it is also more efficient by approximately 20 percent, or 7.9 liter per 100 km.

Geneva Preview: F30 ALPINA B3 (410 horsepower)

4 seconds to 100km/h. Really impressive for a 400 hp 3-series.

Yes I read that. Imagine what the M3 would be with even less weight!

Is this official Alpina information? The link E38_E30 posted only shows the image and Alpina's location at Geneva 2013?

There must have happened some sort of "leak" as AutoBild.de had an article online today with official numbers, at least they didn't sound 'made up'. The article was featured in the Geneva News section. Anyway, the article is offline now and the website is responding with a 404 ...

To cut a long story short, this is the abstract:
Debuting as xDrive!
301 kW (410 PS) bei 5500 bis 6250/min
ZF Achtgangautomatik
0 auf 100 in vier Sekunden
Verbrauch: 7,9 Liter SP
183 g/km CO2

Exactly the same figures 'Just_me' already posted.

Hahah, they forgot :D
4.0 secs sounds great. Would be crazy if the RWD M3 would match that no?

You think B3 will have faster straight line acceleration than M3? If the B3 acceleration time is correct, the M3 can only be faster. It has better traction, if DCT (though I personally would prefer manual), faster shifts than AUT, it will be lighter and probably still make more power. The M3 can only be faster. And If to compare acceleration time to M5, first M3 DCT did it in 4.6 sec and M5 SMG did it in 4.7 sec (0-100 km/h). New M5 does it in 4.2 sec. Rumors are M5 will get power upgrade, it might get under 4.0 sec. So I expect 3.9 sec for M3 DCT. This will allow M2 to get more power, rumors are about 370 PS.

There been tests showing M5 capable of 3.8 seconds to 100km/h, Autozeitung to name one magazine.

Well, I know but single tests are irrelevant for comparision sake. The cars should be tested in the same time in optimal conditions.

I don't see why M3 "can only be faster"... previous B3 S Biturbo with RWD, 20 hp less and 6-speed-automatic was just as quick as the M3 DKG Sedan with competition package (tested on the same day). The difference between them at the 3,67 km long Sachsenring is only 0,3 sec.

Musn't BMW M then step up a little? Do you have any archieved comparos of M3 E30 vs. B3 E30 or M3 E46 vs. B3 E46? The M's usually always were faster and did more HP with less displacement.

For the enthusiast owners's sake it would be best - but that's not what M GmbH nowadays doing. The M5 became a fat pig compared to its predecessor, so did the M6. Why do you think the new M3 will be an improvement?
Alpina's are very close now to the M cars in terms of performance, sometimes with less hp, and/or slower gearbox.

The B3 S is a perfect example. So is the B5 Biturbo. I'm sure this new B3 will be very close to the upcoming M3, even with "only" 410 hp.

No no no no :D
I don't blame you, but you haven't been following the F80 M3 much have you? Target weight for F80 is the E46 M3. Vastly different from the current M5 and M6, and also compared to the E90 Alpina B3. The B3 S is not the perfect example at all.
So you shouldn't be so sure about the new B3 being close to the new M3, I don't think it will be like it has been the last couple of years.
