X1 [Spyshots] 2022 BMW X1 (gen 3)

The BMW X1 is a line of cars produced by BMW since 2009. A subcompact luxury crossover class, the first-generation X1 was based on the E90 3 Series and offered rear-wheel drive layout as standard. The second-generation X1 marked the switch to a front-wheel-drive-based layout using the UKL2 platform shared with the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the Mini Countryman.

This is why I don't like the current X5 it looks so much like the outgoing X1 especially in the headlights section.

The new one looks like a mini-X5 which I presume is the intention. The X2 gets a second generation which offers the designers more adventurous styling opportunities over the conservative X1.

Gosh I didn't know about your viewing disabilities. I thought you were an ordinary troll, but it looks like you just have an eye issue.
I am sorry for calling you a troll. You're just blind as a bat.

Fun fact: Bats are not actually blind, and to some extent, have better eyesight than humans in certain conditions.

But is the eyesight of a Covid speading rabid Chinese bat the same as a lovely banana eating flying dog? The real questions.

For real? I can count with the fingers of one hand the number of X2s I have seen in the last couple of years.

Right now the best looking car in the segment is the Q3 SB to me. Lovely little thing.

Exactly. The amount of Q3 SB’s I see on a daily basis is kinda crazy. There are much less regular versions than the SB. Oddly enough, I see much more X2’s than X1’s. Never liked the X1 anyways, X2 looks much prettier. Love how it looks like a jacked up hatchback. Super athletic looking imo.

The exterior is not all, the worst part is the X1/2’s stonage interior, it has the most dated interior, in this league. No chance even to ugly GLA, which at least is modern inside.

Both still look like turds inside and out compared to the Evoque. Mercedes wins with the infotainment, but Land Rover just smashed them in built quality with the second gen.

Exactly my opinions. Their obvious downsides were definitely the interior, they looked so outdated. They are still using the old style steering wheels lol. Thank god the new X1 will have a similar interior to the 2er AT, which looks great.

X1 or X3?, is a render with a certain logic

It looks as if to be the next X3. But I expect the 5er to get a similar split headlight as shown here and on the iX. One unit In fact just like the current 5 where the Laser unit is in the top edge of the headlight.

The 3 series facelift and X1 have the new lights, one would think this should be the same route for the new 5 series as well.

Would bmw combine the new light design and the ix lights like this?

Or just have the top light only like on the ix?

There is something like an additional layer.

The good thing is the anniversary is approaching which should begin to show the full optics.

I don't think it will look anything like the 3 series LCI or the new X1, the 5 series is the fattest cow of the brand in relation to profits, it will always be particularly special and after seeing what they did with the 7, the 2 coupe, and other models, the 5 will do nothing less than pleasantly surprise

May 24th ... 50 years of M (y) But there will be an M premiere at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa D'Este - Cernobbio - Lake Como a few days before that.
„M premiere” - M3 Touring ? M4 CSL ? or something else?

With the M3 Touring, M4 CSL and M2 waiting to be released, I feel we won't be seeing anything more on those two ocasions. Not that those are not special, but I guess people are waiting for something a bit more exotic.
