Mondeo/Taurus [Spy Shots] So... Mondeo not Axed?

Leaked images from china showing a brand new and sexy sedan wearing the Mondeo name in big bold font. But apparently it was supposes to be axed and in the US only the Mustang and Focus were to survive from all of the sedans.. Anyone has any insight to what's going on?

Ironically the name Modeo, when presented in 1994, meant that this car would be offered worldwide in the same execution.
