Wraith [Spy Shots] Corniche/Coupe

The Rolls-Royce Wraith is a full-size ultra-luxury car/grand tourer manufactured by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and based on the chassis of the Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan which is also shared with the Rolls-Royce Dawn convertible. The Wraith shares its nameplate with the 1938 model by the original Rolls-Royce company. The body style is a two-door pillar-less coupe with suicide doors, where all side windows can roll down like in a convertible. This body style was popular in American cars during the 1950s and 1960s, and was known as the hardtop body style, not used by Rolls-Royce since 1955.

I really think that this could turn out to be my dream car.

2 door coupe powered by BMW's V12 TT that would deliver a performance substantially better than almost any other large 2 door cruiser, not to mention the fact that you can service it in BMW service. BMW/RR both have a very distinct feeling when you drive it. It is not better or worse than any other competitor of the same level, it is just.. different. It really is a matter of taste, so discussions about which brand delivers the most driving pleasure is rather pointless. But for me, after countless test drives of different cars I still prefer BMW.

The only other car that from my very specific point of view can rival this RR is the upcoming S-class coupe. I understand that RR will have a substantial price premium, but from my personal circle of people it I can say with confidence that if a person can spend EUR160k on CL63, that person can also afford a EUR200k+ car.

Design wise it is, of course, a mystery. Certainly we will see the tell tale headlamps and tail lamps and judging by these spyshots it will have a very novel glasshouse, albeit it is a question whether it will appeal to the old-money buyers. Doubtlessly, new money buyers will devour this vehicle and stand in line to buy one.

Hmm.... From the looks of it, they want to "go after" the Continental GT, as it looks very similar in shape and proportions. Looks like it's a 2 Door Coupe (NOT "4 Door Coupe" ridiculous naming i.e CLS, etc.) with 2 small rear doors that will open suicide-style? Not sure how I feel about that as I've never seen a TRUE Coupe (i.e 2-Door proportioned) with small back doors that looks even remotely good.

Expect to see a new “stunning” Rolls-Royce model in the coming weeks, according to CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes. The new luxury car will debut at the Auto Shanghai Show on April 21st, if we follow his reports.
The announcement comes barely a week after the company announced a sales record of the 3,575 cars they sold in 2012. Despite the US being Roll Royce’s largest market globally, Mueller-Oetvoes said the company’s expansion will focus more on the western regions of China, where car ownership levels trail those of coastal areas such as Beijing and Shanghai. Europe has seen a shortfall in sales albeit Mueller says that the growing markets US and China will compensate for that fall.
I think the potential in China is yet explored, I will not be surprised for China to be back to No. 1 this year.
If the rumors are true, the British car maker could show their new 2014 Rolls-Royce Corniche Coupe. The design of the new model will probably feature two doors, a low-slung shape and that iconic Rolls-Royce grille. The overall proportions are said to be slightly smaller than the four-door Ghost with different styling and the front and rear end.
Power and specs should mimic the Ghost with its 6.6 liter twin-turbo charged V12 engine which produces 563hp and 780Nm of torque at just 1,500rpm. It features an eight-speed automatic transmission and shares a heavily modified platform with BMW’s latest 7-Series.
