On topic, is this the actual next gen version with the RWD based NK platform? Or a facelift of the current with new design, because 2027 would most definitely mean facelift. 2023 was its first full year on the market, and we haven't had a facelift yet.
Then again, this all looks pretty radical for a mere facelift of the cheapest model they have...it even has iX3 style pop up door handles.

Yeah this is the new platform for EVs only. The current U11 will get a facelift when this comes out for the ICE versions.

So iX1 basically will be the iX3 of the X1? The LCI of the present X1 will be heavily reskinned to accommodate some of the styling of the new iX1 similar to the 3er G50 which is a reskinned G20 3er but will use styling elements from the i3?

In this prototype at the rear at least I am seeing some of the Circular Concept especially with the arches flaring out. If rumours are true? Then the next 1er/i1 will be influenced somewhat by that concept.

We are looking at the first spy shots of the NK platform based iX1, aka totally different from the current U11

I really don't think they will change the current X1 much with its facelift.

This is undoubtedly destined to become a very, very successful vehicle for BMW AG.

In fact, the coming months and years may present BMW with some problems keeping up with the demand for their vehicles. They appear to be on the treshold of producing a number of out of the park home runs. As things stand right now, I'm beginning to sense that BMW will become THE German premium brand of the foreseeable future.

I suspect a mega-seller in the making.

This, as well as the ix3 and i3 will contribute significantly in getting the BEV ball seriously rolling here in the EU. These, as well as the new VAG MEB entry vehicles and the new gen M-B EQs.
