3 Series (G50) [Spy shots] 2027 BMW 3 Series (G50)

The BMW G50 is the eighth generation of the BMW 3 Series range. Body styles: G50 (sedan), G51 (wagon/touring), NA0 (i3 sedan), and G58 (long-wheelbase). Inspired by BMW's Vision Neue Klasse concept, it will be offered with both internal combustion and purely electric powertrains, though on different platforms. Predecessor: G20 3 Series. Production: 2026-
A genuine question why are all these new BMW sedans to tall

I mean the 7 is like a suv

The 5 looks tall compared to older sleeker 5 models
It’s common knowledge that the 5 and 7 Series models share platforms for their ICE and EV models. Due to the platform needing to house the battery pack in the floor, they have taller bodies to accommodate. It’s not ideal from a styling perspective but the strategy appears to have paid off for BMW.
The three series was always low and sleek looking
It will still be. It will not share the platform across ICE & EV. As is evident here in the photos.
This looks like a low riding suv
No, it doesn’t.

Can't vouch for the validity of these M3 photos. If real, we're gonna be alright.

Update to my previous post: This is the Vision Driving Experience (VDE) and it's a prototype not likely to be sold. The new M3 will likely benefit from its developments. Interesting preview of what's to come for BMW interiors too.

Updates from Ynguldyn:

Just like BMW signaled, NA0 and G50 are being designed to look very similar to each other - to the point that they're even sharing wheel options. Though NA0 will likely be considered a bit more upscale. Little details like both will get the fancy multifunction seats but only NA0 will include the massage function.

The G50, G20, NA0 and G26. First time for both G50 and NA0 photographed together in the same frame along with the G20 and G50 parked next to each other.

One difference I noticed between G50 and NA0 is the door handles. One car has similar door handles to other new BMWs with a recess for your hand to fit in but the other has totally flush handles that most likely pop out like Tesla and Mercedes models. My guess that NA0 is with totally flush pop out door handles?

BOTH the G50 and NA0 are looking really good in these images. I especially like the NA0.

It’s going to be a difficult choice for the customer.
BMW are hoping that those who are currently with the 330e will be wanting to make the full transition to the i3. If not? Then the G50 3er will continue to provide the hybrid option. The market introduction for both i3 and 3er will also show the key competitors will be a few years older. Either way it’s a win-win for BMW.

The new C-class EV and C-class ICE FL will be launched in 2026, so it's going to be a formidable battle with these BMW saloons.

G50 looking good. Hope they don't play any funny games with the Hofmeister kink.. would be nice to see a return to a cleaner kink as opposed to the oddly angular one on the current G20.

They both have the same exact flush doorhandles that pop out.

The door handles will be the same on both.

The M350 spotted in Munich.

I can feel the E90 vibe from this clip.
