Sports Car International Supercar Test (F1, Veyron, Enzo, CGT, Zonda F & CCX)

Zonda rules..
easy as that..
The F1 is a legend..and no longer should be compared to the new cars..cause its unfair towards the F1 ..and in a way towards the new cars..as there are a hell of a lot more regulations to follow now..
So keeping that in mind the zonda kills the new generation:D

What is "highest exotic CF"?

Anyway, F1 was the world’s first production road car to feature an all CF monocoque chassis and body structure where as, I believe, in SLR only the body is CF. And for exotic materials, who can forget the gold foil covered engine bay.

BTW, F1 is still the fastest NA car in the world - testimony to the S70 monster powering it.

SLR is just a 599GTB competitor with a bigger price tag and minus the handling.

What i ment is that the SLR is made out of the most exotic materials like any other car in that test, and the SLR has a monocque structure same as the F1.

i would take both veyron and F1, both of them represent the epitome of engineering in their own ways
the F1 is the epitome of efficiency, and the veyron the epitome of sheer brutalit

Well, despite using the exotic materials, it didn't do its weight any good.

You have to keep in mind that Benz wanted high safety standards for this car, thus the front alu-structure with a carbon energy-absorber... that is heavier as an all-CF structure and not good for the handling. But can save your life...

That is why the SLR is not a proper supercar, it is a car that makes compromises. It's not a pure racer because of comfort and safety, but is dead expensive because of the CF structure...

However this tranny is completely out of place for me and may be its biggest flaw. I can't pass over this.

For me, it's a tough choice between the Enzo, Zonda F, and F1. I would want the Zonda's interior design inside of an Enzo body that was as efficiently packaged as the F1. For its purity (manual transmission and no power steering), compactness, 3-seat layout with driver in the middle, very good luggage space, reasonable suspension travel for the most demanding real-world roads, and that epic engine, the F1 takes my vote.

As for materials, don't forget the inconel-titanium exhaust on the F1, magnesium for the wheels and dry sump casting, and titanium components used in the pedal linkage (as well as titanium for the supplied Facom toolkit, anodized with gold).

True and that''s why the SLR is as safe as a S-Class,heck it even have knee bags, there's no car in the world in that segment has it's luxury and safety features.

Well according to reviewers who actually driven the car(;):D) they said that the tranny is pretty matched with the engine and didn't complain about it.Sure any other type of fancy transmission would be great but this one isn't bad.
