I must say for fake M car the bimmer is holding up well. The differences are not huge, its actually a very tight race between them. Its going to be real intresting what the next 1M is going to do. Previous 1M already shown what it can do against A45.

Both the RS3 and 1M were quicker than the A45, the future doesn't look good for the Merc when both these replacement arrive.

Both are quicker to 200km/h. but only the 1M was quicker around the track
There's no doubt that the M2 will smash the A45. RS3 Sedan would be a stunning machine

True the 1M was the only one to beat it on the track but the RS3 was only slightly slower and it was on a dinosaur of a chassis the next car is based on a far superior platform.

Price is so market dependent. Our A45 AMG's are a BARGAIN compared to the M135i and the deal of a century compared to what BMW Australia were asking for a 1er M Coupe.

The value proposition of Mercedes have improved significantly in the past couple of years. BMW Australia on the other hand continues to gouge consumers for every single option and Audi has a sales event on every weekend lol.

Still, may be faster, but there's no way I'd buy that A45 AMG over the cheaper, better engined, better balanced, better gearboxed, better riding, bigger M135i.

Not really. You will still loose less money or most probably even make some if you buy a 1M vs A45.
