Kia is expanding its Cee´d range with the 204 horsepower strong GT. The GT will be powered by a 1.6 liter direct injection engine with turbo delivering some 265 Nm of torque. That should help the Cee´d GT to reach 0-100 km/h in about 7.9 seconds. Six-Speed manual is the only gearbox option to start with.

18 inch wheels and brakes with red calipers as well as an updated chassies will help giving the GT more dynamic.

The GT will be available as both 5 door Cee´d and the 3 door hatch Pro_Cee´d as seen on these photos.

The GT will stand out by its different grille, the revised headlights and sportier bumpers with LED daytime running lights and of course two bigger exhaust pipes.

Inside we find Recaro seats and aluminium trim.

Wow, I'm impressed! This doesn't look like a BMW OR Audi! Finally, Kia!

It actually looks pretty good for what it is. Reminds me of the Hyundai Veloster.

Kia, once again you ripped lots of cars to bring a new one to life & yet again the end result is surprisingly good. (y)

Nice little car. But 0-100 in 7.9 from 200hp..? It's gonna be crushed by the rivals in performance.

A car that looks like that could do 0-100 km/h in 10.9 secs and still sell like hotcakes. On-paper performance numbers carry a far smaller weighting in the buying decision process of today's younger generation. Only us forum geeks care about .5 of a second. In the end, as a competitor in the vital 1.6 turbopetrol sector, this KIA is adequately competitive in the performance stakes. It also just happens to look bloody marvelous too. Who would've thought: KIA?

Honestly, if I had a Porsche Cayman S, I buy this as my daily commuter (shopping, school,...) and not spend money on some premium or other expensive hatch.
