I went to a dealer w/ one of my freinds today who is looking to buy an M coupe/roadster. The salesperson told him that SMG will be a new option for '07, I called him on this and expressed that I found his information hard to believe.

Same engine as the M3, so I don't see much of a problem.

Even still, BMW didn't make it an option for '06, so I don't see why it would be an option for '07??? Just the same they may have fine tuned the system for use in the M coupe and roadster.

They always do that... give them something new for the next MY.

Hopefully it's SMG III and not II.

If anything, it'll most likely be SMG II ... no need any R&D this way.

BMW said early on the M versions of the Z4 would all be with manual transmissions, so that dealer sounds a little fishy. However manufactures have suprised buyers before ;)

Personally, even if they do offer SMG, i'll take the manual. :usa7uh:

Thank God, finally.

Now maybe some decent optional tyres like P Zero Corsas and the B.S. and Cayman S are cooked.
