Small Coupe Battle

Lately there have been new additions in the small luxury coupe segment. In this thread, I would like to established the number of members that prefer the various coupes presented.

The Choices are:

(All trim levels are included for each
model)

Please give detail reasons for your choice in this
poll!

Please answer the following
questions:

1. What were your deciding factors?
2. What is it about the design that attracts you to
the car?
3. Does brand image have an affect on your decision?
4. Are driving dynamics a major factor?

GAME ON!

1. What were your deciding factors?
My love for BMW & it's king-of-the-ring factor ;) ...!

2. What is it about the design that attracts you to
the car?
It's curves & aggressive looks are just irresistible :icondrool ...!

3. Does brand image have an affect on your decision?
Of course, it does matter  ...!

4. Are driving dynamics a major factor?
Yes, they are one of major factors :D ...!

easy... CLK
If all models are included you have the CLK DTM and the CLK blackseries two amazing cars and both of them are my dream cars as well.

CLK!!!

Black Series, CLK DTM, CLK 63 AMG, CLK 550, CLK 320 CDI!!

They all look absolutely great and I like the design of all CLKs...

lol this SO UNFAIR.. ALL CLK´s..haha
that means DTM and 63 B.S meaning that the benz suddently becomes the drivers choice..oops..

so with that in mind..i cant resist to vote for the CLK..

1. the DTM and B.S are just in another league compared to the rest
2. Its a damn sleek car in normal mode, a monster in B.S mode.. and just out off the chart in DTM mode.. it has the ability to do everything..
3.Sure it does.. when has it not?
4. One of the major factors..but not THE MAJOR factor

No AMG, M or RS is behind my choice, just the standard versions.

1. BMW
2. Audi
3. MB

Lets face it, CLK is starting to show age, a new generation is coming soon.
I have only seen the A5 in silver and without S-line and I wasnt impressed and I didnt sit comfortable in the backseat.
I have seen E92 in different colors and I love car. Topcomfort combined with sport and a very attractive design. My favorite bimmer.

^why are you changing the rules when the thread issuer specifically wrote all modells included?

just curious--

I missed the rule part. But still there are no M#, M3 CSL and RS5 for sale yet. Its kinda unfair to add CLK-DTM and CLK63 BS to the vote unless you really are dying to see a MB win a poll. Besides comparing a car with a car that cost 4-5 times more , come one now, show some mercy for God sake!

Truth!;)

S5
1. What were your deciding factors?
Interior and Exterior superiority, top notch handling without sacrificing comfort!!
2. What is it about the design that attracts you to
the car? It's sporty with a touch of class.
3. Does brand image have an affect on your decision?

Certainly, I believe it plays apart in everyones decision.
4. Are driving dynamics a major factor?
One of the biggest factors, I have huge expectations for the A/S/RS5, I expect it to out handle the competition much like the RS4 did!

Normally I would have chosen the CLK-DTM or the CLK Black Series, but considering that warrants somewhat of unfair advantage for the other vehicles in this test, I am also leaving out the 'higher' performance models.

As a result, my choice is the BMW 335i coupe.

1. Styling mostly, but of course the engine and interior were also a factor

2. It's simplicity

3. Am I biased? lol :D

4. Most definitely an important factor, but as The Artist pointed out, not the major factor

preach like i said..very unfair poll.. even with an RS5 and M3 its unfair..
its only fair when there is a M3 CSL and RS5 + or something lol:D

Maybe their should of been a little car not to well known around these parts called the R8 in this poll! I've heard the CLK DTM and BS are somewhat close in price and performance but what do I know?:t-hands:

Right now my decision is between the A5 and the Infiniti G37.

I have always hated the 3 series and the CLK seems more like a womans coupe. If I were to get a Benz coupe it would be either the CLS or CL.

I gotta say in those photos especially the G37 looks quite par with the 3 Germans. I choose the Audi mostly because of the sporty and classy S5 while the 335i is quite foxy itself but the S5 being newer wins for me this time.

^^^

EXTREMELY ugly, not worth even discussing this terrible car for me.

1. 3er

2. CLK

3 A5

LOL, He changes the rules because the rules suck if all models are included.

A CLK DTM AMG? Come on now, what in the blue hell is there to compare between that car and a regular 3er coupe or A5????
...Not to mention that Infinity...LMFAO

Edit;

sorry, looks like we all agree on the weird 'rules'

335i for me.

1. Engine, driving dynamics, l
ooks...
2. The fact that it looks very aggressive, low profile...
3. Yes...
4. One of the biggest together with engine and suspension set-up...

:t-cheers:
