Since you BMWboys are having a Bangle/No-Bangle discussion, I thouhgt I would have something like this here.

Do you like the Audis with the new single-frame grille, or the generation before that?

The single frame is a hit..for all modells.. gives the cars more chercter..and diffrentiates them even more from VW´s

The new single frame. As I have mentioned in some other threads, Audi is definitely on a roll with having found a design direction that is a huge winner. I am really happy about them having soared to the very top and be equal partners in the circle of quality cars. In that circle three is definitely a crowd but a healthy, productive and functioning triumvirate.

hmmm..i wonder.the single-frame looks nice on the A8 A4 and A6 but not as good on the A3............with the power of numbers i pickk the new-gen. :t-cheers:

I think the single frame grille is a good step as well. It allows Audi some aggression and a point of difference without turning the rest of their body style/design language away from their renowned elegance and sleekness.

That said, I don't like how it's so dominating on the A3; nor on the A6, where the height of the grille seems a bit much compared to the width. It makes the front look a bit weak, and that the front is somewhat bulbous doesn't help.

I prefer single frame. However on the A4 cabriolet I prefer the previous generation as its more smoothen in with the rest of the car.

Single frame for me as well.

Its obvious in these photo comparisons that the single frame has slowly evolved from two seperate grills to a single grill.

This post and the bangle no bangle post prove that the overwhelming majority of us here appreciate where AUDI and BMW are taking German design! :usa7uh:

Single-Frame for me.

Yeah, I'm with Choleric. I wasn't surprised by the single frame move - look at the B6 A4, the vent below the bumper already had a chrome edge around it, echoing the 'top' grille. Sometimes I'd imagine what it would look like if they just joined the two chrome parts. And then maybe added an indentation to the bumper. But Audi took it further by making the indentation dark, like the grille.

I guess progression in design usually grows on us all, and we like it. Sometimes it works better than others though.

The older stuff is better looking. The RS6 is one of the best looking Audis there is, and it is a prime example of how the conservative yet still aggressive look worked so well.

The single frame is hot!
The only thing is, it looks like it could easily be damaged with the slightest bump.

Double for me... it's one of the main reason I love AUdi current line up! :usa7uh:

New generation. The new grill gives the Audi more character than teh last ones which are definitely a bit two bland for my taste.

God I love how I am inspiring other polls! :D

Single frame for me. The cars look more aggressive, and the front looks more uniform. The previous generation was starting to look dated...

I prefer the single grill massively!

When it first came out I wasn't so sure, but now they are everywhere I have got used to the new design!

Also the single grill makes all the audis with the old grill look very dated!

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
