Singapore VAG get-together event

VAG stands for Volkswagen Audi Group, and the name of the club is VAGSG.

I woke up in the morning and I was reluctant to go, but in the end my dad just wanted to give it a shot. I thought it was gonna be boring but it turned out that everyone was pretty friendly and sociable. Well... Enjoy! This thread is especially for VWAG nuts, like phaeton...


RS4, one of a few in Singapore.


New TT 2.0TFSI with magnetic suspension installed, at the background... The interior is nice, I had a look in it.


Nice rims on a A6 2.0T.




These rims look extremely huge in real life, really filling up the big wheel arches of the RS4.

Sorry I have nothing much fancy to show. VWs and Audis are a rarity in Singapore after all... We're a strong community though! As far as I know we're the only Phaeton owner amongst the group, and there are 3 Treg owners. Bulk of 'em are GTI owners.

Thanks for sharing Mirage. VWAG group car owners are very loyal and passionate individuals dedicated to their respective brands. Unlike many other brands, they actually add to the ownership experience. That's if you participate in enthusiast events.

There are also numerous Phaeton get-togethers at the US and Europe, some even making the trip back to Dresden where the Phaeton is manufactured. It's a pity we can't join them.

I know BMW has a pretty active community locally here as well, but at the Mercedes camp it's pretty quiet.

Yep, Bimmerfest is the biggest BMW meet in all the world. As far as I know??? VW/Audi has events year round. Porsche is pretty active as well, Mini, and of course all Japenes imports. There's a meet out there for almost every type of car, just have to do a little research to find them.

Now just a correction VAG & VWAG actually stands for Volkswagen Aktiengensellschaft, abbreviated AG, being equivalent to stock trading company.

Now the Volkswagen Audi Group name has origins when VW & Audi imported to UK under V.A.G UK, its no longer used anymore by VW or Audi UK

There are about 40-50. There are even more Quattroportes.

I know AG stands for Aktiengensellschaft, just like DaimlerChrysler AG, but I was referring to how VAG is referred to in-house in the club.

On the sales side of things..............are Phaeton sales 40-50 a year or is that how many have been sold since introduction ?

Next time You or your Dad are at VW you should ask them for Official Phaeton Sales stats then I can add them to the thread on vwvortex

Sold since introduction.

We'll try to get official figures, but the dealer here in Singapore for VW is probably the worst in the whole country. I just hope they can grant me this request.
