SSC Shelby Supercars' Tuatara - 1,350 Hp is born!

SSC North America (formerly Shelby SuperCars Inc.) is an American automobile manufacturer founded in 1999 by Jerod Shelby. The company is based in Richland, in the Tri-Cities, Washington and specializes in the production of sports cars. Official website: SSC North America
If anyone is interested in manufacture of the carbon components for Tuatara, this subcontractor often posts videos from their factory. Here's the monocoque assembly:

Yes I know them. It's fine stuff. The optional exhaust is a work of art too.

It's cool to see the process. But to be honest, looking the a-pillars, I really wouldn't want to go fast in this car.

I'd feel much more safe in Venom F5...

I can't, it's like watching a train wreck, you know you should stop looking but it's impossible not to look. I can't wait to see this project crash and burn like it deserves to.

Then I'll press ignore and f#ck it off myself directly.

That's a bloody stupid attitude. I'm speechless.

Safety? Homologation? That's boring. As long as someone spends millions of dollars on it, as long as it's running on the road, it's a good car. 'homologated' and 'safe' cars still died on the road (regera,valkyrie,jesko......), regulations change all the time, cars from decades ago didn't even have airbags and seatbelts, or such well-developed crash tests and emissions rules, yet many cars still remain on the best place in the history books. Maybe we should give Tuatara some more time, it will make a good reputation in automotive history. Regarding the details of the car, SSC is a very small company and they need to control their costs, so the craftsmanship of the car is not very good, and the distinguishing features of this car are not those details, maybe you should learn about the history of SSC being scammed. I'm not going to persuade you to believe how beautiful this car looks because everyone has a different opinion, and you can go on complaining about how terrible this car is, but it won't affect my opinion. This car wasn't built to be a scam, it has a crazy goal, and if in the future it proves itself to be something it really is, then your and my arguments will be irrelevant. By the way, there are only a handful of cars in the history of mankind that have exceeded 270mph several times...

It's homologated. And I believe I know how. Before I leave forever I'll state how. It HAS airbags. Anyway I'm not educating anything anymore.

it depends on which markets he's willing to sell the cars in, he did say it was gonna have a production run of 100 so he can't get around show and display laws (like Hennessey did)

that being said, this is one of the most impressive hypercars to come out and hopefully we get to see a legit run to its theoretical top speed (339/345mph)

Koenigsegg and Hennessey both said that they would have an attempt at the end of the year, and maybe ssc tuatara should end the game next year.

"We had a special visitor at @pebblebeachconcours 🦎 although this particular lizard isn’t a “Tuatara”, the origin of the name Tuatara comes from the native New Zealand lizard with the fastest evolving DNA out of all animals on the planet."

Tuatara was recently mentioned in a Minute Earth video, where they did mention its fast evolving DNA and its status as a living fossil:
