5 Series (E60) Self parking E60

The BMW E60 is the fifth generation of the BMW 5 Series. Body styles: E60 (saloon/sedan), E61 (wagon/touring). Predecessor: 5 Series (E39). Successor: 5 Series (F10). Production: 2003–2010.
That's nice. Is this an option yet?
I remember seeing a Toyota Prius doing that using GPS though. I don't remember how it works though.

I think they first mentioned it 2 years ago, but with an X5 then. Sounds great, if it works. Something for the ladies??? :D

I have seen a Volvo S60 self parking in Sweden, in a documentary two years ago! Some months before i read about some citroens doing the same thing!

BTW, here are some pics that a friend sent me. This is how a professor from his highschool parked his car: :D

This is really cool. But I think it's kind of dangerous unless the parked cars remain stationary and there are not incoming cars on the road.

I'm sure there are electronies for that. Something similiar to distronic I guess?

cool. i remember reading about this in bmw magazine last year. nice to see somethign actually materialized. however the german's are a little late with this self park technology. in japan, a prius can already be purchased with a similar setup.

Did the article say anything about how it changes gear? From D to R? It's so akward to see the steering wheel move by itself.
