C-Class Seen the C Class in the metal - at last!!!

After a very long wait I have finally seen the C Class in the Metal!

For anyone who has not seen it, it is simply sensational especially the Sports Line (Av. with AMG Pkg.) And really all judgements will be best made after seeing the car in real life.

I took the chance to visit my local dealer since the official launch in the UK is Thursday 14 June 2007. They were kind enough to allow me into the storage area to view them.

The interior looks a lot better in real life, The steering wheel which has come under so much heat is compact chunky and actually looks good. (IMO)

The pictures really do not do the car the justice it deserves

I will be driving one on Thursday June 14.

100% agree with all that you said. I particularly like the Avantgarde versions in black - they look quite menacing, yet at the same time elegant. I don't know how these designers and car stylists do these things, but it's terrific.

hi christian (or anyone else for that matter), have you come across any w204s in cubanite silver by any chance? i have only seen one set of non-promo pictures. i have a feeling the color might be great, but am not quite sure. would particularly like to see the rear aspect on the elegance model. got my car on order, but going back and forth between palladium and cubanite and so have to decide before they freeze the order.

ps. like your sis by the way, but i'm sure i'm not the only one.

I'm glad you like it. I just got a call from my local MB dealer and will be heading down to them on wednessday to test drive the new C200 K or the 220 CDI. Expect a review.

I have a feeling I know you from somewhere (if you know my sister).

The closest color to Cubanitesilver I have seen is the standard Brilliantsilver. Black seems to be a very popular color and of course Brilliantsilver. When I see one, I'll take a picture for you. I've always got my camera with me.

I've seen a few Elegance versions around as well and they're not bad as well. With the proper rims and color, they can looks stunning. The Avantgarde version though is hot.

I saw my first new C class yesterday, and both the Avantgarde and Elegance versions look good to me!

The interior was much nicer than what I had seen in the pictures, I like the way the command screen folds away!

I saw a C200 Kompressor W204 Avantgarde at the local supermarket yesterday!

Then driving home, I saw a black Avantgarde W204 C-Class! I'm seeing a lot of them lately!

Our dealer had an C350 Avantgarde in black, with chromed mirrors and saharabeige leather seats!! I have to say, it looked really good. Normally I don't like the Mercedes chromed mirrors, but that C-Class looked just right with them...
