I really don't see the big deal with not eating meat. The author of that article attributes eating meat with being masculine. Whatever. There are plenty of other ways to get your protein needs. But hey if you want your meat, you eat your meat. I don't understand the big deal. Man kind has evolved in such a way that we don't need to eat meat anymore. Sure it worked for the cavemen blah blah blah...
 
Well, not all cavemen. Whenever the "humans are omnivores" debate breaks out, people forget that early man adapted differently depending upon their environment. Some of us are adapted to eat a diet rich in animal flesh & dairy, others not so much.
 
Vegetarianism doesn't work for me either. I feel very ill if I don't eat meat.

And for the vegans out there, don't you dare to visit my parents house, if you tell them you are vegan, you will be clubbed to death and eaten. My dad and my mum hate vegans.

I think the reason why people don't think becoming a Vegan or Vegetarian is a good thing is because there are so many out there not eating the right foods, not replacing the stuff they are missing from not eating meat.
 
I am 6'0 and 160lbs. I stopped eating meat and dropped to 145lbs over the course of like 2 weeks! It was crazy, so I decided I didn't really have a choice. I couldn't find any other alternatives to keep the weight on. But everyone is diff.
