The Nissan Qashqai has scored the full five stars for overall adult protection in the Euro NCAP crash tests - and achieved the highest result yet by any car in the test programme. It also scored an excellent four stars (out of four) for child protection, and two stars for pedestrian protection.
Euro NCAP also tested the Kia Carens in its latest round of evaluation; this achieved a rather less impressive four-star result overall, with poor performance in the side-impact test, plus three stars for child protection and just one for pedestrian protection.
