5 Series [Rumors] Any word on details of 2020 5er LCI?

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.

Like the G11 FL, this G30 FL will do wonders to the design. Better headlights, connected bigger grille and smaller 3D rearlights will do wonders to this car, which in basic shape already is beautiful.

I'm sure it will look much better than that render...

It's "just" the general (and pretty good!) idea when the things are heading with the LCI ... ;)

The front is going more 7er LCI way, and the rear lights are going more 3D as seen on X5 & 6er GT.

It's a looker. Perhaps a bit less refined than the pre-LCI but definitely less vanilla but more imposing. IMHO the LCI looks (just like 7er LCI, X1 LCI etc) much more upscale & luxurious.

Are the rearlights changing their shape to something closer to the X5 ones? BMW would only need to change the bootlid.

Really nice render, if the production LCI looks 95% close to that then it will have much improved looks

BMW are pushing for customers to go for the laser lights by purposefully making their DRLs more attractive over just LEDs,

I realise you've posted this exact same sentence again because you've obviously read my reply to the same statement earlier today about the X5 (I thought I was on your ignore list?), and once again it's utter BS. Unless you can quote a BMW designer directly who says they deliberately made the standard DRLs "less attractive" in order to push customers towards LASER lights, you're posting complete and utter speculation, and you're in no position to pull this crap out of your backside.

Front lights look slimmer and more attractive, but not so sure about the kidneys, hoping the thick upper section is not going to be like that for production.

I am not digging the new infotainment screen, it looks weird, too big for the dash somehow. I prefer the old screen and also older digital instruments.

Old dash infotainment screen and digital instruments.
