S-Class (W224) [Rumors] 2030 Mercedes-Benz S-Class W224 (Spy pics & info)

The Mercedes-Benz W224 is projected to be the eight generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan. It will replace the S‑Class (W223). Expected to debut in 2030. Production: 2030- (estimated)
Most maybachs I've seen are just Silver or Black though. Presumably because the clientele want something a bit more subtle.
Which is fine, of course. But it would be nice if they leaned into a more bespoke interior
Yeah. Whenever I see one of these cars they’re always in black, at least here.
Our neighbor happens to have a black one too, lol.

A subtle spec of a very nice combination, fresh from the Beijing Auto Show today

They need to get rid of that V12 badge on the grille imo, so unnecessary as there are already 2 of them on the sides. Or maybe I just hate badges in general, lol.
Color combination is lovely though.

I'm sure you can tell them to not put it on there lmao.

It doesn’t matter because they don’t sell it in Europe anymore.

Yes I agree with you.

What was it......120 years of building cars?

They know everything, what they're going to do with it is up to the finance department as usual.

120 yrs of experience doesn’t matter If you live in the ivory tower.

There are only 2 possibilities.

They know what people want, but ignore it.

Or they have have no clue what people want.

The EQS is the result, like the C63SE. Those are cars nobody asked for.

I agree, the financial department screws most cars up.

Not entirely fair. Often times the people themselves don't know what they want. You can make a new breakaway successful product nobody asked for.

I agree, but Mercedes-Benz buyers are usually very conservative.

In that case people usually buy something different.

In Europe the French companies always tried something different in the past.

Sometimes they were indeed very successful with that.

In the past 30 yrs I remember only the ML,the SLK,the CLS and the R-Class as being really brave.

The ML was like are more street friendly 4x4, but the concept of a comfortable off-roader war invented from the Range Rover and the discovery.

The SLK was the first new car with the folding hardtop, but basically it was a shrunken SL, a car, people asked for years.

Design wise the CLS first generation was probably the bravest car.

Technically it was an E-Class with less space but a more luxurious interior.

The R Class was the result from people asking for a faster and comfier Minivan.

The CLS was probably the only car nobody asked for, and still becoming successful.

As always, feel free to correct me.

The Baby Benz A class needs to be somewhere for better or worse. And I guess the new age FWD line was a gamble (which paid off)

And I would say the "SAV" segment was invented by BMW's X5 not Land Rover (second gen Range Rover and first gen ML were both body on frame), but I'll skip that discussion.

For the rest pretty spot on I'd say.
