A5/S5/RS5 RS4 engine in S5

Hi everybody,
I am buying Audi S5,and I am interested in possible updating engine to RS4 power.I know for MTM supercharger (very expensive for me).
Anybody knows difference in two engines,possible update or something similar.
I have read so many tests that S5 is not a racer angine.I have also old B5 S4 which is very aggressive and has incredible midrange power.

Hello and welcome.

If i understand your question you want to know if the S5 engine can be moded to be like the RS4 engine.

I don't know exact details but from what i know the two engines have little in common. In fact apart from having the same displacement we are talking about completely different parts.

On the other hand you can contact some tuners like Abt and see what you can do.

I'm with Yannis on this one. I'm afraid a complete conversion to a RS4 spec engine will make the MTM conversion seem like a steal. I say, enjoy the lovely S5 engine, it is getting nothing but praise. Maybe it is not the most race oriented engine in Audis lineup but from what i gather it suits the S5 great.

For the price to convert an S5 engine to RS4, you can possibly buy the RS4 itself and left over change.

You can get more power from the S5 engine. (±400 hp)
But you need to rework the engine.
