Rolls Royce Motor Cars Middle East Celebrates Third Consecutive Record Year Of Sales
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East celebrates another consecutive record sales result for 2013 in the region. A 17 per cent year-on-year growth was recorded in the Middle East markets, making it the best performing region for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars worldwide in terms of growth for the second consecutive year. This resilience reflects the status of the regional economy. Globally, 3,630 cars were sold during the year, which represents the best sales result in the company’s history. The announcement is made in the marque’s 110th year.
Sales of Phantom Series II, Rolls-Royce’s pinnacle family of models, which was thoughtfully updated in 2012, scored a 45% growth in sales in comparison to 2012. Sales for Ghost remained strong throughout the year and the launch of Wraith, and the consequent start of deliveries, contributed to this year’s performance. Bespoke uptake in the Middle East peaked at 100% of cars delivered, reinforcing customer demand for uncompromised exclusivity in the region.
2013 was also the year when Rolls-Royce Motor Cars celebrated its tenth anniversary at Goodwood. The first Phantom was handed over to its owner at one minute past midnight on 1 January 2003. During the year, the commemorative Bespoke Home of Rolls-Royce Collection was launched, and culminated with the Phantom Celestial, the most exclusive (and expensive) Rolls-Royce Phantom ever produced. It included diamonds laid into the marquetry depicting the position of the stars above Goodwood on the night of delivery of the first Phantom.
