200 miles is without a doubt private jet range. There's no way these people sit in a car for that long to get anywhere.

This is especially true in the usa where airports for small jets are scattered everywhere.

Meh, these are true n00b levels. Taylor Swift takes her plane from one airport in LA to the next in LA. That would be an half an hour drive by car, and a 40 sec. plane ride

Plus the time taken to get to a suitable airport by car, any clearance times and any time taken waiting for a departure or arrival slot if it's not been arranged suitably in advance. I don't think these people are doing it to try and save handful of minutes, I just googled it and even private charter companies say for that distance it's faster to drive... It's elitism pure and simple... your own space, high above everyone else, with teams of people dedicated to your needs, versus being sat car to car with the poors.

Why would she do that? She doesn't live in LA? Those sort of short hops would be quicker, cheaper and more efficient in a helicopter.

She has a jet, not a helicopter, and this is not how these things work. A heli doesn't bring you across the country or indeed the world. And you don't need to live in LA to use their airports.
