Ghost Rolls-Royce Ghost

The Rolls-Royce Ghost is a full-sized luxury car manufactured by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The "Ghost" nameplate, is named in honour of the Silver Ghost, a car first produced in 1906. The production model was officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Ghost Extended Wheelbase was introduced in 2011. During development, the Ghost was known as the "RR04". It was designed as a smaller, "more measured, more realistic car" than the Phantom, aiming for a lower price category for Rolls-Royce models.
thats like 10 years old, they need to figure out how to strap turbos on it, put stuff like valvetronic, emissions reducing stuff, etc... ofc producing brand new v16 is even more costly, but might be a better solution. Anyway, i would love for this to happen

Yes, indeed :)

Guys, why stop with a V16 if you can make a W24? You know, two V12's and all???

There will be no V16. No way.

I'd rather see an 8 in line!!!

If the Ghost is set to follow a normal 6-7 year lifecycle, I wonder will the next Phantom will follow suit or remain with a decade + one... anyway, these spyshots highlight just how superb the Ghost's design is: a tiny front overhang, slim glasshouse and a complete lack of fussiness make it look very elegant. I do hope it gets a power bump though, to allow it to keep pace with soon arriving range-topping S-Classes.

Rolls-Royce Ghost facelift spied in Munich

Subtle changes

Our spy photographers have sent us a fresh batch of photos with the lightly facelifted Rolls-Royce Ghost.
The prototype was spotted in Munich, Germany hiding subtle updates limited to the front fascia where there will be a restyled bumper and LED daytime running lights. The headlights seem to be slightly larger than on the current model while the sides of the front grille will be tweaked as well. Expect some changes inside the cabin but nothing to write home about.
The British luxury sedan will likely retain the 6.6-liter V12 turbocharged engine rated at 563 bhp (420 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft). A minor power hike is possible along with some optimizations to make it more fuel efficient.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost facelift should be unveiled in the first part of next year.

Phantom will not follow the regular cycle, it's unique in every way and 7 years is way too early for it. Will be at least 10 years, probably more.
And speaking of power, don't you think 560 hp is enough for the Ghost? Will be perfectly capable against the big engine S classes, and maybe the 630 hp variant of the Wraith will come to it..
If anything, the Phantom needs a technical facelift with it's old gearbox and old NA V12..

The Phantom is over 10 years old now. The replacement is due in 2016. The next generation is going to be more advanced in every way but still be the ultimate luxury car as you would expect.

Ghost series II will premiere at Geneva in March.

Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification announced with 601 HP

Costs 330,820 EUR
Rolls-Royce has prepared a V-Spec version of the Ghost which comes with various upgrades, including a power boost.

V-Spec is another member of the growing special edition Ghost family coming with 21-inch alloy wheels taken from the Wraith, a Sapphire Black exterior paint scheme, along with V-Specification rear armrest with black embroidery, inlay to monitor lid, treadplates, black stitching, a different clock and unique piping.

Power comes from the same V12 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged engine but instead of the series 570 HP (420 kW) it now develops 601 HP (442 kW), making it an ideal solution for those who want a four-door Wraith.

Rolls-Royce is preparing a mild makeover for the Ghost which will likely be introduced in March at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

I hope the facelift brings two separate seats for the back with a proper console running through the middle that runs all the way to the dash in the front.

The Ghost would be my first choice in this class.

Pretty much the only car in this class. The only other I can think of is a Bentley.
And no, a souped up S class doesn't count. S classes are taxis :)

Sometimes Klier you like to spill blood in the Piranha tank and watch the imminent frenzy which is a bit like a metaphor for a particular fan base. Just remember to pull out your arm. ;)

Back to the Ghost. Through bespoke and also introduced for the EWB you can get these specified as cost options. If you want absolute privacy you can get a partition to separate you from your minions.
