Rolls-Royce 101EX @ Geneva

Wow the interior looks amazing, though some more aluminium would be good in order to give the car that coupe/sport look.

After looking at the interior, I'm certain that this car is extremely close to what the final production version is going to look like.

I`m finally sold on this car! very nice body work and the interior is very handsome.:eusa_clap

The only thing I`m questioning in the interior is the Zebra woodtrim. I had that same
wood trim in my S-Class 420 model. Thats not considered the highest quality
wood trim.:eusa_thin

Rolls Royce must have options on different woods.

I'm almost certain that wood in the Rolls-Royce is Ebony - that is quite a rare and special wood.

Rolls-Royce and Bentley will do the interior of their cars in any wood finish you want.

The Zebrano wood from West Africa (as used in your Mercedes) is special wood too.

You might be right, that just might be Ebony wood trim. It has the same pattern as Zebrano. I might have went overboard in saying the Zebrano wood
trim was not hi quality wood. I always like the Walnut woods better in the higher class MBs.

So, who can make out the headlight designs here. Could the top LED bars be the signal indicaters? Thay are too small to be headlights. I wonder will Rolls
change the prodiction cars headlights to look more like the Phantoms. I would hope not. I like this design.

These companies are so smart. Marketing 101. Rolls says that there no plans for producing the 101EX, same thing they said about the 100EX, now going into production as the Corniche. Bank on this Coupe for 2008.

Bentley, they know full well there would be very little demand for the Azure if the Continental GTC came out first so the Azure gets to market first, then the GTC. Pretty smart IMO.

Poor Maybach. I wonder if the 57S is selling any better than the regular 57 and 62 models?

I`ve been thinking about it all day, I`m in love with this car. It`s just magnificent, outstanding and incredible!

I really like how Rolls treated the rear end to, so classy, it looks better than the Phantom from behind. I sure hope the production model will stay true to this concept, I`m sure thay will. With a good set of wheels this will be the coupe of the 21st century!

White would be a good color for this car with the aluminum hood and a-pillars!! OMG!!

Yeah GTA7.5, it is a really great concept car - I hope the production model is nearly identical to this. Now I can't wait to see what Maybach do - you can bet they have been working on something amazing too.

Rolls Royce has really mastered a royal majestic presence in their designs.
This is something Maybach has yet to master. This car is very much fit for a King The Phantom has the same presence. I honestly don`t think we can say that about the Maybach. A Maybach coupe might be a little different but as I said before the Maybach design theme is a little too trendy.

trendiness grows old, it`s only a matter of time. Theres nothing trendy about this Rolls coupe. This design will look good 50 years from now.

This is an awesome shot!!

That is a very good point GTA7.5...and you are of course absolutely correct.

It will be interesting to see how the production model looks - that polished aluminium will not be on the production vehicle...I'm sure about that, it is just too impractical.

I really do believe Rolls will produce this car even though thay say there are no plans. It`s just like the Corniche with a hardtop. I agree the aluminum won`t make production. I`ll bet thats where the two-tone paint scheme
will come in. That would still look awesome!

It's a shame this is only a concept/experimental vehicle. I really would have loved it if that polished aluminium made into production because it so beautifully and elegantly blends the characteristic Rolls Royce grille with the rest of the car.
The key characteristic and the one of the main reasons why the RR Phantom has so much presence is because of that big, shinny and in-your-face grille. It's amazing how the 100/101EX attain the same level of presence without having that big grille standing out like the Phantom. It's more the whole package. The size of the car ofcourse, but its stance is elegance personified...and the interior...well, it's superb in every aspect. There may be those who aren't big fans of the old-school interior of the Phantom, but the quality, craftsmanship and the execution of RR's interior design philosophy is just impeccable.

Just two little things though. Those wheels, they look identical to stock rims on the Bentley CGT...and the exhaust tips looks very MM 57S. Other than that, everything here is characteristicly Rolls-Royce. Elegant, Exquisite, Enchanting..and Everlasting.

Stunning. :eusa_clap

I am interested in that roof of the 101EX ...they way it is connected to the A-pillar is designed like a retractable roof -- this makes me wonder of the possibility that the new Corniche might have a hard-top like the new BMW 3er Cabriolet -- just a thought.
