Hi guys I am quite excited this week as I traded in my old faithful 2005 BMW E90 320d for a 2013 Volvo S60 T5.

Its another brand change for me as I was not initially anticipating buying a Volvo but was thinking first to get a F30 3 series or W205 C class.

I think that @Giannis would be happy with my purchase.

I got the Volvo at a really good deal and couldn't resist it as the car has been with 1 owner and was very well looked after with low mileage.

Its black with a cream leather and black combo interior, really gorgeous in real life. 18 inch mags and I had the car fitted with light tinted windows and paint and light protectors as well as a tracking device.

This T5 has got plenty of grunt from its 2ltr turbo with 177kw (240PS) and is responsive with the dual clutch 6 speed box.

The car actually feels smaller on the road to drive than my old E90 maybe due to the lighter steering and the larger greenhouse and curved body. The suspension has a nice ride and handling combo. I haven't pushed it around any corners yet but the steering feels nice and responsive off center with good weighting and the car noise levels are quite low.

Congrats! Last time I drove that Volvo was 6 years go. It marked a huge departure from Volvo's spongy clutch feel, lifeless steering and general lack of driving feel.

The T5 is indeed a good engine. I didn't know Volvo used dual clutch gearboxes. The old infotainment isn't an issue as you can simply use AppleCar/Android Auto on a big smartphone - some people even do so in recent cars!

Unless the car has Apple CarPlay or android auto installed you can’t use Apple CarPlay or android auto.

That's true about CarPlay. However Android Auto is an app. You can set it to launch automatically when you connect to your car via bluetooth. It works in both portrait and landscape on the phone.

If you are an iPhone user, you can simple pick up an old plus sized Samsung on eBay, pop in a data sim and use it as a the car's infotainment. Steering wheel controls for media works fine and in many cars the voice control button can be used to activate Google Assist.

Congrats Rolf! Car looks clean and the colour combo is really pretty. Love the tan stitching on the black leather.
