V12 Vantage for me please, followed by the R8. The rest (yes including the Porsche) I'm over.

R8 followed by Porsche/AM for me. I love the way V8 Vantage looked, but V12 lost the subtlety. As for Z06, big rumbly V8s were never my thing.

It never ceases to amaze how different nationalities of magazine reviews almost always get the best out of their homegrown products.

Like I doubt the Z06 would have lapped quickest in a Sportauto comparison test. ;)

I too would find it amazing if Sport Auto were quicker in the Z06. That being said, I fully believe the Z06 would be that little bit quicker than the Turbo S. The Swedish version of Auto Motor und Sport had the Z06 faster than the 997.1 Turbo at Mantorp Park by 2.6 seconds. The standard Z06 would be much faster with just the ZR1's tires alone; the old Goodyears were almost like an all-season tire. Combine that with the carbon brakes and MSRC suspension and it'll likely be faster still, especially on a track with bumps where the standard Z06 suspension feels skittish.
FWIW, these R&T mag editors were ~2.5 seconds faster on this track in the Turbo S than pro Porsche racer Randy Pobst in the 997.1 Turbo.

Overall, a more balanced article than some recent American mag reviews, but still short on in-depth driving experiences, particularly on the road where 99% of these cars will spend 99% of their time.

I'd have a hard time choosing between the V12 Vantage and the R8 V10.

However, V12 Vantage is just so damn gorgeous and so perfectly proportioned. My eyes can never tired of looking at that amazing shape.

Vantage. Although (as exotics generally do to me), it's grown a smidge "tiresome" to see, considering just a year or two ago, I thought (and still think, for the most part), it was/is one of the nicest cars to ever grace the roads.

The Porsche is just timeless, and always gonna kick butt, you can't beat it. I feel like I'd always love it, while the Vantage might grow "old" to me faster.

I've never really loved the R8 all so much personally. Just not my thing so much I guess. :t-hands:

The Vette is always gonna be a classic, and such a brilliant performer, which proves the "old-time" way of doing things, with simplicity, etc. is not lost, and still reigns supreme. I love V8's as well, although I prefer the sound of an OHC V8 than an old-school Pushrod. Not to mention, the Vette is gonna be by far the most reliable of the bunch, cost the cheapest to fix/maintain, and gets by far the best MPG's. Just the most efficient car all around. Interior is a joke, and it's never been my top favorite type of car, but I'd love to have one as a second vehicle. :D
