AWESOME. Love these types of vids. The 280 SE crushes the CL in appeal and style. It'll always be a quintessential Benz Coupe Classic.

That type of build quality is why Mercedes stood alone by the time the late 70's and early 80's came around. The legend had been made in this country by then. I think about all those FWD heaps Cadillac built in the 80's and how it sealed their fate and put them behind Mercedes seemingly forever. They're still trying to work on their image and become respectable again among import buyers. Cadillac just being one example. Mercedes heritage and legacy is untouchable.

That hood star and massive luxo grille on a Coupe is such a dominating and interesting look. I wish M-B would retire the now-commonized Star grille on ONE big Coupe and release a 280 SE modern-era. A luxurious Coupe with a big boss Luxo grille and hood Star. I think it would be a very interesting style for a modern Benz.
