[Reviews] Executive Privileges: Luxury Sport Sedan Comparison

I want to drive the XF myself, with the 5.0L V8 (385hp). I imagine that is just the car for me. I just can't get with the E-Class. Hopefully it drives much better than it looks. I still like the A6 too. Wouldn't touch the outgoing 5-Series for several reasons. CTS 3.6 would be a nice car for less money, not sure I'd want a "Cadillac" though.

Acura = joke. Lexus = nice, but tired.

To me, the Jag is the only viable option (and maybe the Merc), until the F10 hits the market.

BMW: A*holes when it comes to test drive...they want to call my insurance and sh!t "Just in case".

Lol...Wow, they BM"SnubbaU" you. Never heard of them doing that. Usually they may want to see/copy your drivers license and insurance, but to call them WOW.

For some reason they are a little snobbish though. Even at car shows. Usually if I got to the best section they are nice and want to help answer questions. I went to sit in the 7 series and they looked at me like I was some kind of dog. So I just sat in it too piss them off even further.

Acura = joke.

Its bascially a tarted up, AWD Accord. Sure its a nice car, the non-car people I know would love it, but to me its sorry car for its segment. I'd rather have a Lexus GS350 than the Acura. Thats really saying something.

Yeah man. They actually asked me if my insurance covers test drives, I was like WT-F? Then they are like, "well we will have to call your insurance and have to have them fax us paperwork that says you can test drive cars and they are covered." I was like, "you can't be serious...isn't that the F__king reason you have insurance for?" They are like, "well...yeah, but just in case." I was trying to test drive a 5er about 2-3 years ago. I told them to shove their car up their ass and walked out of the dealership. Have NEVER been to a BMW dealership since.

MB on the other hand...I go there, and they walk right up and are like, "oh, are you finding everything ok?" I'm like, "well, this car just came out, I'm not that interested yet, but I would like to test drive it and get the feel of it for the future." The response is "Oh, that's unfortunate you're not buying yet, but sure I can let you test drive it, and you might change your mind." I've driven the w211 E, w221 S, SLK and ML like this.

I won't lie, the inside is actually quite nice and the ergo is great. The exterior is the only let-down on the car, other than that, it's actually better to drive than the A6 IMO.

If there were one car I want to drive , its Jaguar XF. Very intresting car.

Regarding cardealers. There are good and bad dealers but I know two dealers I have no problem to testdrive a BMW if I want to (except for M cars).
When my father was going to buy a new car , we went to Mercedes dealer to look at the new C-class but no person came to us and asked if we needed help, they only stare at us. So my father went back to the bmw dealer and bought himself a E90.

MB dealers in Sweden are very snobbish, BMW dealers use to be the same but have improved over the years. Audi dealers are alright.

The problem is, it's the same dealers that I've been going to since 2001. MB, still no issues, whether I had a MB or not. BMW dealer? When I had my M3 and was spending money there, everything was jolly. Sold my M3, not more money for dealer..."oh, do you have insurance for test drives." That's just straight up wrong.

Oh that was my fault. What happen was I talked to the Mercedes-Benz Loyalist commitee concerning several BMW fans in this forum. They spread the word through the Mercedes-Benz Dealerships worldwide about how you all support BMW and pick on Benz. So that is what happened.

Lol...Well I hope Acura does something to win you over in the future.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm going to start going to BMW dealerships and start loud talking about how their cars are Alternatives to Mercedes....Let's see what happens then.

Big mistake! Now MB lost money because of it.

This happen to a friend of mine when he wanted to try a new Seat :D

That would piss me off more than even BMW. LOL

Thats why I want to own a Ferrari, the chances would be bigger to drive a new Ferrari model. :)

Dude, I just want to be ABLE to own a Ferrari first. LOL :D

Until then, I hope BMW can sort out their dealership's Douchebaggery so I can go and test drive the 1er, 3er, 5er, X5, X1 (whenever it makes it here), X3, 7er and hopefully the ///M cars.

Coming back to this topic....I will definitely get to test drive the E-class, but the Bimmer and Jag are in question. Well, actually, I might be able to score the current 5, cuz the new one is on the horizon, but Jag is most likely a not.

Who knows, maybe I can work the "I'm Indian, and thus know Ratan Tata" angle and score a test drive. Ha ha hA

Considering your overwhelming love for BMW, I Highly doubt you would have let your father purchase a Mercedes-Benz vehicle.

Actually, it was my idea about the C-class. I may sound like a hardcore BMW nut here but in reality I appreciate other carbrands. If he wanted a C-class I wouldnt stop him.

The more I see the C-class, the more I love it.

^^Please tell me WHY every time I have seen a C63, it's always driven by FINE ass chicks. I mean, WT-F...come to me bitches!
