The BMW 5er will get a fresh face, with new, sleeker headlights, smaller kidney-shaped grille openings and a completely redesigned lower fascia.
BMW certainly didn't want us seeing the new 5-series this early as a private security guard sprinted towards our photographer after this brief encounter.
In addition to updated taillights, it's rumored that the 5-series will get reworked steering, and the more powerful "N63TU" engine in the 550i model. This engine is rated for 445hp and 480 lb.-ft of torque.
In the past few months, we've also seen BMW begin to test a plug-in hybrid version of the 5-series, though we're not sure if that model is destined for Europe.
Look for the 2014 BMW 5-series to start production in July 2013.
