I simply love these funky SWB S (with the emphasis on UTILITY)Vs. The new Landrover Defender leaves me impressed. I suspect that the Bronco will do the same.
Hahaha, I never left, I'm always lurking, just haven't had much to really say. And yes, I still watch NASCAR every week, but also keep up on F1, IMSA and WEC to a certain extent.
I think that it depends on how Ford will market it, and if the company is willing to give it a family range in order to challenge the Wrangler. A single variant will be a niche that, just like you mentioned, doesn't usually last more than one generation. I don't know exactly why the FJ Cruiser didn't last more than a single generation, but it's possible that the retro effect faded after some time, along with a lack of updates, such as body variants, trims or engines, which caused the car to become forgotten. As to your question, no, I don't think the Bronco resurrection will last more than this one generation even in the SUV-hungry U.S. market.
I never expected that.... unless they can get O.J. Simpson to do some commercials for it.
The new Ford Bronco... time to getaway!
The new Ford Bronco... no responsibilities!
The new Ford Bronco... leave your troubles behind!
The new Ford Bronco... give it a trial!
Do you not think that Wrangler buyers would welcome an alternative? Customisation and marketing will make a break this car as the OJ Simpsons associations are strong!I don't think the Bronco will do much to the Jeep either. Even if it's better on paper, it just doesn't have the brand equity & culture to compete with the Wrangler. Yes the Bronco as a well-known nameplate, but much the same way that the Dodge Challenger has this culture & following even though it's a very aged product compared to the latest Camaro...

People will walk into dealerships asking "Does it come in white?"
