Volvo will have two chassis, SPA and CMA, both designed for the instillation of tranverse engines only, I very much doubt Volvo are going to build a RWD chassis for one model. If they do build a coupe I can't imagine it will be anything other than FWD/AWD on the SPA platform.

I will say that sure is one pretty car, I hope they build it. It would be the perfect platform to introduce a 6 cylinder engine. I'm positive Volvo can't have been stupid enough to not design a 6 cylinder version of the VEA engine, it is modular after all so adding cylinders should not be a problem.

Hohohohohohoho! That is stunning, absolutely gorgeous... I can go on with the superlative. This is one hall of a design.

Have really warned up to Volvo but this makes me want it.

This was again confirmed as a car Volvo is working on heavily using the Coupe concept as inspiration. It'll be a 4 cylinder 2L with a lot of electrical power. Will have a minimum of 500 hp combined and be on the forefront of the connected car. Can't wait to see it.

6 cylinder, I'm not sure,...:(

An Electric Volvo Shooting Brake Could Actually Happen

Shortly after Volvo announced that all of its new vehicles will soon be electrified, the world has started wondering about the inevitable fleet of all-electric cars the Swedish automaker is planning.
Andrey Kirichenko has rendered this, the Volvo 40.3 Electric Shooting Brake.

The name makes reference to the 40.1 and 40.2 concepts Volvo unveiled early last year and as with most Shooting Brakes, the car is seriously attractive.

Compared to current Volvo models, it is far more angular and includes sharp edges and pointed corners across all surfaces. Among our favorite design touches are the simple yet beautiful headlights, the Porsche Mission-E wheels and the brake lights incorporated into the two subtle roof spoilers.

This coupe still looks fantastic in my eyes, 4 years later.

The render looks like an Acura with premature elements. Tech is interesting but I have to agree with Centurion on this one.
