Yes, best sportscar on sale. I remember @martinbo say he didn't like its I4, not special enough compared to German I4s. While I don't agree with German I4s being special, I agree a better engine is possible without affecting to the car negatively in any way (for example size, or weight). Either an I5 or an I6 as the Roding R1. A longitudinally mounted engine or even transversaly mount V engine would stretch the wheelbase behind the door and rear wheel as the Elise vs Exige.
