Range Rover Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition Revealed

The Land Rover Range Rover, generally shortened to Range Rover, is a 4x4 luxury SUV produced by Land Rover, a marque and sub-brand of Jaguar Land Rover. The Range Rover line has been in production since it was launched in 1970 by British Leyland. Additional models have been launched under the Range Rover name, including the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, and Range Rover Velar.

Range Rover is expected to finally break through the six-figure price barrier with this new model, the Autobiography Ultimate Edition, as it will be priced at around £130,000.

Set to be unveiled at the start of next month in Geneva, the Ultimate will be limited to just 500 units worldwide, for 20 markets, produced to individual order. Either a 4.4-litre V8 diesel or a 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 can be specified.

Range Rover designers have completely revamped the rear cabin, fitting individual back seats, and a new centre console design — made of milled aluminium, leather and wood veneers — has been added. The console includes a drinks chiller and laptop table. The backs of the front seats have been modified to accommodate Apple iPads.

The Ultimate Edition’s rear load space also gets a yacht-style teak floor with aluminium and leather detailing. Semi-aniline leather has been used for seating and new ‘Kalahari’ wood veneers feature on the door tops. The car also gets unique 20in alloy wheels.

The interior is quite stunning, although I'm not a fan of the wheels.

The Range Rover is pinnacle at the moment, I hope the next generation is a Bentley GT-esque evolution.

Well, well, well. What do we have here? A shatteringly expensive Range Rover serving as a market research props for Range Rover to dig into the cars market in search of an answer to whether there is a market for SUVs in the price range of a Flying Spur or S65 AMG?

I give Land Rover kudos for standing up for the "Ultimate Edition" moniker by actually pimping a RR in stead of throwing some arbitrary paint scheme on a stock RR and calling it a day. The plush center console in the rear is sexy and so are the wood inlays on the door panels.

Coolest of all must be the fold out iPad stands. That's what I call getting with the times. So-called overpriced rear-seat entertainment options with tiny 7 inch screens crammed into headrests have been slapped with a blow to the head by the iPad. LAnd Rover has spoken the truth.

Rangies are well-known for their stunning interiors. So nothing to wow about that here! What really popped my eyes, is the color!! :usa7uh:

How exactly are you supposed to use the iPad when it's positioned well out of your reach?

Will you need to plug in a keyboard and mouse.... Laptop anyone ?

The iPad is obviously detachable. Most of the time it will be in the lap of the rear passengers but when they wish to kick back and watch a movie they can put it into the holder.

Wow! But looking at those pics I know, why I loved this car so much! Stunning Edition…nevertheless would choose a different colour combination. :) And sorry, for being offline for so long, but I'm very busy with my training at the moment.
