Interesting, I would never have related this to the Opala but that's how our markets are and from there to the Holden lol.
In any case, great cars with matching engines, I loved seeing that one and you can see that they are cared for and appreciated.

The decision to bring back the Opala's 4.1 and adapt it with electronic fuel injection was made because the Opel 3.0 engine had been phased out in Europe in 1994 and importing the Ecotec V6 engines was deemed too expensive. GM's Latin American line-up have always been a mix of European, American and Asian designs. The Commodore was the only Holden that made it to Latin America and it was sold as a Chevy with an Opel name. It was nicknamed in Brazil as the "Aussie Omega".

Late models based on the VE Commodore were sold from 2011 to 2012 with the rather pretentious name of "Chevrolet Omega Fittipaldi" and they even hired Emerson Fittipaldi to be the "ambassador" for it.

This generation of Omega was built in Brazil from 1992 to 1998. Initially it had Family II 2.0 litre 8 valve engine and the Opel sourced 3.0 litre inline six. In late 1994, the 2.0 was upgraded to 2.2 litres and the Opel straight six was replaced by a modernized version of GM's 250 inline six engine that powered the Opala, the Omega's predecessor. The Omega pictured above is a 95-97 CD 4.1. It had the GM 250 inline six engine with electronic sequential fuel injection.

This generation of Omega was replaced by the Australian imported Holden Commodore, which was sold in Brazil as the Chevrolet Omega from 1998 to 2012. Sadly we never got the V8 Commodore, only the 3.8 and later the 3.6 V6 engined versions. All based on the Holden Commodore Calais and Berlina, which from I understand were the most luxurious versions of the Commodore.
The Calais was the top spec short wheelbase model, the LWB Caprice was the top of the range.

It would have been a home run on the first Blade Runner movie.

I wonder how random is to find a Brazilian VW for sale in The Netherlands?

Very very random, it should provoke a certain pride as well as surprise, since it is not only "unique" in Mercosur, but a totally unique segment in Brazil (currently), these small, very fast and light pick-ups are already pleasant to see and they are very tuned around here, I would like to know how that Saveiro got there.

I still remember the surprise when I found out about this in the USA and even more so, seeing one in Gotham City from Tim Burton's BATMAN

More rare than a Rimac Nevera.

And you can have a more exclusive car than a Rimac Nevera for less than 25k Euros

It does, because I guess Brazil does make cars that are somewhat interesting to Europeans.

A Dutch businessman was on holiday in Curaçao and he saw several Saveiros roaming around over there where still is officially sold. He loved the Saveiro so much that he bought one and decided to bring it back to Europe.

He drove around 2,000 km in Curaçao to import it to Europe as an used vehicle, which is less complicated and less expensive. It's a 2018 Saveiro and it's only got 2,725 kilometres on the odometer.

Just like you, I too was surprised to see that almost every car in Gotham City was a Volkswagen Fox. It caused such a stir to see our humble little VW Voyage making it to Hollywood and in a Batman movie no less. The funny thing is that the VW badge was replaced with what appears to be an illuminated snowflake logo.

W201 190e 2.5-16v EVO II, R129 SL, W168 A Class. If you don't know what they are you should hang your head in shame and never visit here again.

Judging by the front lower bumper its an AMG A38.

Not sure about the SL, bonnet is open so perhaps showing off one of the 7x AMG's?

You're probably right with the SL, it's probably an R129 SL70 AMG. I've never seen an A38, that was the twin engine A, must be pretty rare.
