What's the deal with this system. Is it any good? I have a PS2, but rarely use it.

How does it compare to the Xbox360?

Currently i own an XBOX and a PS2, and when i get the money i will purchase the XBOX 360

The PS3 does looks pretty awesome though, and i have some interest in Wii too.

well, I heared there are some problems with PS2 games in japan. Arround 200 titles are freezing, or have no sound, ... on the PS3. They're working on fixing it, but once again a blow to the PS3.

I 'm a very happy XBOX 360 owner (currently playing Call Of Duty 3 and waiting for my copy of Gears of War) but i will consider getting a PS3 as well mainly for the Blu Ray player.

hey, I'm a BIG sony fan And I love the PS3 ( device itself and performance ) but nobody can deny they did an AWFUL job promoting it.

Does anybody else think it is f*ing ridiculous that people camp out in front of stores days before things like the PS3 and Xbox 360 come out. I went to Best Buy today and there where like 100 people outside the store with tents set up, I don't understand why people cant just wait a couple days or weeks to get it, why is it necessary to be the absolute first person to play it.

I agree with you Jeff, i remember when Halo came out, people lined up at stores till it opened and closed. I waited a week and had no problem waiting, but that's just me.

Agreed. In addition to that, Sony will make huge losses with the PS3 for the first couple of years. The components for the cheaper version cost $805,85 but the retail price is $499. The more expensive one is a bit better, components costing $840,85 and retail price being $599.
