On the otherside - my PS3 arrived today (earlier than expected) ...

I'd say the first game you should get is Resistance if not that then get Motorstorm. Right now I have Resistance, VirtuaFighter5 and Call of Duty 3. Planning on buying Motorstorm and Formula1 in april.

nope heard the same thing. The battery lasts for like 14 hours without charging; But a friend of mine was told that the battery might wear off after a year of 2 and that the only thing that can be done, was to buy a new controller.

You obviously have no idea about Sony and the PS3. If the battery ever goes bad than Sony will set up a sort of a swapping program. You send them your controller and they send you, either the same one with new battery or another one back. That's what I read about how sony plans to take this on. So if you throw yours away...just figure it out on your own, LOL.

If anyone else has any questions about PS3 just ask..I guess I'm your resident PS3 expert..LOL

I'm not sure exactly what will happen with that. Since Divx has to be licensed I think Sony will probably wait until there is a larger user base who wants it before spending the money to buy the lincense. That's as much as I know...

must say, demo of GT HD not really worth it.
Downloading the demo of FOM now, eager to play it, and it's on my shortlist.

The physics in GT HD are trash. They weren't even up to par compared to GT3 let alone GT4. The graphics were trully amazing though.

You have to play the actual game to like it. The demo doesn't have all the weapons and the baddies to fight...believe me, if you like fps games then you'll love this.
