The prologue apparently sets everything up in regards to the characters of the crew. At first in regards to the two gay crew members on a colonisation mission does not exactly work in how to populate a planet. At first though it seems that it might be Hollywood being "Politically Correct" but on close examination apparently on Noah's ARK with two of every animal on board both Lions were male. Unfortunately I have no sources from the biblical era to confirm this. But as you can see there is a lot of "SpaceJesus references" like there was in Prometheus. However a strong 95% are probably going to massacred by Aliens anyway.

This seems like totally disconnected from the first movie, i was really looking forward to see the engineers.
