Porsche has already rolled out its all-new 911 Carrera Coupe for the United States market, but the German automaker has plenty more new launches planned for the year ahead.
Next week Porsche will unveiled the convertible version of its latest 911 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The 911 Coupe is scheduled to officially hit dealer lots in February, with the Cabrio set to follow a few months after.“The USA is and remains an important market for Porsche with good growth prospects,” said Bernhard Maier, Porsche AG Board of Management Member for Sales and Marketing. “Detroit was deliberately chosen for the world premiere of the new 911 Cabrio because the USA is far and away our largest 911 Cabrio market.”Following the market launch of the new 911 will be Porsche’s latest Panamera GTS model. Boasting 430 horsepower from its V8 engine, the Panamera GTS will arrive stateside during spring 2012. Shortly thereafter Porsche will launch a diesel version of its Cayenne SUV, marking the brand’s first diesel-powered vehicle for sale on these shores.Although a little farther off, Porsche will launch a new compact SUV called the Cajun sometime in 2013.
