911 (993) Porsche Project Gold - 70th Anniversary 993 Turbo

The Porsche 993 is the fourth generation of the Porsche 911 sports car. Predecessor: Porsche 964. Successor: Porsche 996. Production: 1994-1998.
It’s not really a competitor to a Singer, this is just a thoroughly restored 911, the Singer is something else altogether. With Singers collaboration with Williams it makes them even more special.

This one-off car will fetch a lot of money when it's auctioned off. Collectors who have already have 20+ cars in their collection will fancy this car. For everyone else, a Singer Porsche is special in a different way. It might not be OEM but is very personal as you are heavily involved throughout the entire build process. It's more haute couture than serial production.

It’s about time OEMs enter this segment. They have the capabilities and a trusted brand. If you look at the future of cars these highly customized, mechanical cars will be a profitable market space. I would hope more manufacturers enter it. Ferrari is thinking about it, Porsche is doing it, Maserati should, The Americans could do the same (Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep).

I agree. There is a lot of money to be made in this market. If Mercedes and Porsche would make a few new W124 500Es Benz collectors would catch fire.

Word is from the ongoing Werks Reunion it’ll sell for at least $2 million. There is one collector that basically said he is willing to pay anything to get his hands on it.

What was the last air-cooled 911.

$2m isn't even much if the money is going to charity. It's a tax efficient expense. This car will be the Monet of Porsches.

That black Carrera looks super cool with the yellow stripe.

Now I'm wondering how many other body in white Porsche has laying around.

No surprise about the price. I knew it would sell for unicorn money. Unfortunately it's not road legal but will one hell of a car to admire in a black mirrored room in someone's mansion.
