Porsche 911 Turbo S v McLaren 12C: Road, Track, Drag Race. -- /CHRIS HARRIS

I choose the turbo.

I know the turbo doesn't have that super car emotional design, but neither the Macca. It is really the prius of super cars :D

Plus, I find it difficult to beat the Porsche interior individualization.

Having seen the 12C many times in person I would have to say it definitely looks the part. Probably my choice in this company.

I think my heart would want the McLaren but my head would overrule and make my get the Porsche. Porsche's service and reliability as well known and respected where as the McLaren is an unknown quantity.

I am surprised about the slow acceleration numbers... 7.6 to 100

When I drive my Kia Rio today, I am a happy man, it is full option and does everything it needs to do but I miss soul. When I drive my 18 year old RS I like the drama of the induction noise and you have to work through your pace and agility, but it is fun and has emotion, it gives you adrenalin. Okay the cars I speak of are totally something else but I understand his point. The Porsche for the wannabe fast racer who relies on his car to make him look fast everywhere and in all the security possible. The McLaren for the racer who wants to work for his smile and enjoys the emotion of getting there.

I would take the McLaren ;)

I'm neither agreeing or disagreeing with you on this but would the outcome have been any different if that wasn't the case?

If it wasn't the case, Porsche could keep it's lead a little longer. But in the end it is the McLaren which is the faster one. (no doubt about that)
I just complained about the un-simultaneous start and said nothing about the result.
