The face lifted one was sumptuous. Not overdone, just perfect. The trademark light orange/ lime accent lights in the cabin were so warm and welcoming.
Have one as a S600 Facelift in silver/black with Alcantara headliner.

For me probably the best 220 series S-Class.

Very smooth and it flies under the radar.

Unfortunately too may W220 are driven from owners, who believe, they can Safe Money, if they do not do any maintenance, so many W220 will die in the near future.

The remaining few will become a beloved classic car very fast, as the Design works over decades very well. Compared to W220, the W221 was just Contemporary and the time of this Design is gone.

Personally I drive as a Youngtimer and collectible a blue S350 W220 L, so I can enjoy the ABC suspension on a regular base. Even compared to my W223 L , the ABC is a class in its own.
