[POLL] How would you rate the new SL

I give it a 3. Everything looks okey but the front is a disaster.

I voted 3. The fact that live it will look better (I experienced it with the 1 Series F20) and will even grow on us, it could get 4. But please this is the SL, IMO Mercedes flagship. It should have been gotten a 6. I always dreamt about the SL (R230) and even recently thought about getting a used 2005 SL 500 with AMG package. But his one, I think I'll just pass over it, even if I could afford it. There are other cars I would look at. It is disapointing. But well, it will easely find its buyers. It is just not the best Mercedes could do. Mercedes better get their S Class right.

Sidenote: I also don't like the long front overhang. It is the same case with the 6 Series but it is less noticeable. I always like BMW and Mercedes for there short overhangs. I this point you could also get an Audi then.

There are a lot of clashing lines in the nose job of this car! it`s very hard and bold. The profile looks ok but is nothing special in some photos.
I like the rear quit a bit. It`s obvious wanted to come up with something new for the SL. Question is were thay successful. In order to have a true opinion I need to see it in the metal.
For now, i`ll give it a 4. (Love the interior btw)

The LED eyebrows should have been more translucent as this photo suggest. IRL thay are too harsh and loud.

This is a car that takes some getting used to. It's also a design, not unlike some recent BMWs, that demands to be appraised in person, and does not photograph very well. The lines sort of knit themselves together when seen in the metal, and give proof to it being a new version rather than a warmed over collection of previous generations. Hardtop coupe and convertible, new tech, great engine and a great interior. Nice car.
