No. A smaller SUV crossover sort of vehicle. Maybe around 4600mm in overall length, hence placed beneath the Polestar 4 (which incidentally will be getting getting an additional version-a bit more estate-like and...with a rear window !).

Also coming in 2027, the second gen Polestar 2.

Really I think there is already too much overlap between the different Polestars vehicle, the 3 is already the bit more estate-like vehicle in the range. Nice to see a new 2 is on the way, I guess this will be twinned with whatever replaces the Volvo EX40 and EC40.

What's very interesting is that the new 2 is looking quite lowslung and sleek. One could almost suspect that it will be a smaller (and far less expensive) version of the flagship 5. Or Polestar's very own electric version of the former Volvo S60 sedan. Or maybe even more, the lowslung non-SUV version of the 7.

I thought it would be a sister SUV to the Polestar 5. Which is badly needed. And a 7 has prestige at the very top of the portfolio. Good to see an estate being considered. Polestar owners want one.

Do polestar owners want an estate when they have never had an estate or do Volvo owners want an estate, since Volvo built it's brand on estates.

A bit more news regarding the second-gen Polestar 2:

It appears that it will be somewhat larger than the current 2, speculation indicating 4750-to-4800mm in length and a bit over 1900mm in width. It will also be somewhat lower with an overall height around 1470-80mm. Hence, placed directly in the BMW i3/M-B C-Class EQ segment.

According to Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller, the 2 will offer considerably more rear passenger room than the current model. It will also feature a " subtlely nuanced, very sporty, notchback".

So...a sort of "sleek sedan/4 door shooting brake crossover" ?
