Pininfarina Pininfarina Battista

Pininfarina S.p.A. (short for Carrozzeria Pininfarina) is an Italian car design firm and coachbuilder, with headquarters in Cambiano, Turin, Italy. The company was founded by Battista "Pinin" Farina in 1930. On 14 December 2015, the Indian multinational giant Mahindra Group acquired 76.06% of Pininfarina S.p.A. for about €168 million.

Just illustrating my point regarding the 904 GTS/Rimac C 2 (at least remote) similarities.

Now they all look the same: McLaren, Ford GT, Ferrari whatever they call it. Only Lambo seems to have maintained a unique identity.

Thank you for the pics @mihc (y)

I would say that the Rimac 2 has more of the conventional supercar design theme of the late 2000s and early 2010s (I'm thinking Gumpert Apollo, Koenigsegg Agera) with its side vents and ducts. Personally, it looks better compared to the first model.

The Battista has the more modern theme, which is a given as Pininfarina is the designer (I don't know who penned the Rimac), and I like its looks more, but for sure both cars will have loads of character when (or if) seen on the streets.

@mihc IMO there is a certain possibility that both of those wont happen.
I read somewhere that Rimac will deliver first car in 2020, so next year will tell if his hypercar is real or fiction.

Being honest the vast majority of these new supercars have been based on the general lines of the Ferrari 458 since it came out and also in some of La Ferrari, only change details, it has always been so Ferrari and their success marks the way. except for obvious exceptions such as porshe and lamborghini.

I just realized that the rear of the Rimac is almost traced from the i8

Looking at the comparison photos above is it just me or do they look like they share the same chassis?I know they share batteries and motors but is the chassis also a shared component?

Yes. Pininfarina was pretty much only in charge of the design and giving it a known brand name backed by Indian family money that they’re only spending to fight their other Indian family competitor. This start up business case will start to become profitable, if it works, in 5 years.
