Photoshop CS5 = Mind Blasting!

That's one game changing feature. This will mean that companies with constrained budgets will have to spend less money on paying digital artists to touch up images.

i have been using CS2 since 1 month or so
this time I may switch faster :D

i'd only wish that adobe finally makes some student packages which are actually affordable
or do it the AutoDesk way, as long as you are student you get the software for free

I have CS4 at work and been satisfied with it. I dont think I need the new version yet.

I think one of the biggest things CS4 will bring will be 3D animation. And yes CS4 is class already..

Anyone knows how much it'll cost approximately? 200€? More? Would want to have some version of paintshop but they are all too expensive, then there's the point that I would suck at it (shopping). Well, it looked quite fantastic on the film :icondrool

I don't think it will cost more than the current version. But the content-aware fill does seem to guzzle considerable amount of CPU power, but will probably be aided by GPU acceleration. I look forward to upgrading from CS4.

I have Photoshop CS4 and the much older Photoshop 7.0 (from like 2000) - I use Photoshop 7.0 more often. CS4 has some nice features but it just slows your computer down like nobody's business. There are bunch of background functions that are running all the time when CS4 is started and these things slow down your computer big time. I have a fast computer. Most of my friends at the graphic design school have the newest Mac's and even on those CS4 can run very very slow.

So, this is a nice feature on CS5, but unless they program it in such a way that it doesn't slow down your computer, I'll stick to CS4...eh, I mean Photoshop 7.0. :usa7uh:

I have Indesign, illustrator, photoshop CS4. Macintosh 2.66 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB DDR3 memory and it works brilliant. No slow downs :usa7uh:

I think I figured out what made them so slow on my computer - Adobe Updates. If I don't install these then the programs slow down.

Still, CS4 is SLOWER than 7.0 and that irks me.
