Weird. I have not seen so much wood since the times when wood was the primary interior material because plastic wasn't yet invented. Then again, this might be the pre-WWII period, but they still painted the whole cars...

I once had a 406. I liked it. Very good handling for a FWD saloon.
That was a golden era for Peugeot - the 406 garnered stellar reviews as being the repmobile to have because of its unbeatable ride/handling balance, driver appeal, quality and, of course, handsome looks. The 306 GTI-6 clan of hot hatches were again the driver's choice in the segment and the hotter versions of the 106 showed that entry-level and excitement needn't be mutually exclusive.

Remarkable, then, how badly Peugeot are struggling to recapture that old mainstream mojo. Pity.

Hmmm, I tend not to trust French mags renders, to be honest. But let´s say this render is accurate. I like it. It looks stylish.

Would 408 not be the sedan to the 308 as the 406 became 508? Meaning exalt would be 608?

Same here (well, my mum), 406 Stationwagon silver-gray. Great car indeed.

Mine was the saloon FL model dark green Executive with leather seats, but sadly no automatic V6... I had to make it do with the 2.0 16v engine and manual gearbox. Cheapskate fleet manager didn't allow me to have the V6 auto. Cheap bastard!

This render is a dream from any editor from Autoplus. I don't see the next 508 with this design

Peugeot

Peugeot is a French brand of automobiles owned by Stellantis. Founded in 1810, Peugeot is regarded as the oldest car company in the world. On 20 November 1858, Émile Peugeot applied for the lion trademark. Armand Peugeot (1849-1915) built the company's first car steam tricycle. They joined forces with Léon Serpollet in 1886; this was followed in 1890 by an internal combustion car with a Panhard-Daimler engine.
